Florida Courthouses
This project was a study of photographing architecture at times where the sun was just below the horizon to balance the brightness of the sky with the exterior lights on the building. The choice to photograph various counties' courthouses was made because they are one of the most important buildings in the community and therefore are generally built with an emphasis on sophisticated architecture and exterior lighting. I wanted to explore their commonalities, such as columns or clocks, and contrast their differences while creating images that were more than just a documentary snapshot.
